Custom Admin Quick Icon
JoomLadds has always subscribed to the 'KISS' philosophy. We try to keep every extension we build, simple. While there are more than a few extensions available that do the same thing very nicely, we offer this module to help keep your life simple.
Quick Icons are used in the administrator back-end for quick and easy access to installed components. This module allows you to create quick icons that you can configure for any of your components including external links. We have included a few popular component icons such as:
- Agora
- LyftenBloggie
- JComments
- FireStats
- Hot Property
- DT Register
- Any Calendar Component (like jEvents)
- and phpMyAdmin
You simply choose a Custom Icon or a System Icon from the list and enter the URL to that component. The nice thing is, you can point it to any part of the component that you want. For instance, do you have an area in a favorite component that you have to navigate through to find every time? Instead, create a quick icon that links directly to that page. (ie; instead of: index.php?option=com_lyftenbloggie, use: index.php?option=com_lyftenbloggie&view=entries and you will end up at the entries page)
We have also included a feature in this module that allows you to create a tabbed divider to easily seperate your quick icons.
